Jason's legal expertise includes family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based estate planning, as well as planning strategies for unmarried couples and divorced individuals.

Jason graduated from Texas Tech University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. In 1998, Jason obtained his Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law. Jason is licensed by the State Bar of Texas, is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law, and is licensed by the State Bar of Illinois.

Jason began his career at the law firm of Burdett, Morgan, Williamson and Boykin, LLP in Amarillo, Texas. As an associate attorney, Jason focused his practice in the area of estate planning.  Jason advised and counseled clients on the effective transfer of personal wealth both during life and upon death. His practice involved the design, drafting, and implementation of simple to complex estate plans.

While living in Amarillo, Jason was an adjunct professor at Amarillo College teaching "Wills, Trusts, and Estate Administration" through the paralegal program. He also served on the Curriculum Development Board for the paralegal program at Amarillo College.

In June of 2004, Jason moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex where he continued his estate planning practice at the law firm of Andrews, Barth and Harrison, P.C. Jason focused his expertise solely in the areas of estate planning with a primary focus on planning estates valued over ten million dollars.

In August of 2006, Jason opened his own law firm. Jason is also Executive Vice President and planning attorney for Thompson & Associates, a national charitable estate planning consulting firm based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jason enjoys educating his community and is a frequent lecturer for private industry, community groups, and charitable organizations. His presentation topics include the foundation of estate planning, family wealth planning, wealth preservation, and charitable giving. Jason has chosen to concentrate his practice in the areas of Estate Planning and Estate Administration because he is passionate about helping families and individuals ensure the proper stewardship of their legacies and create happy and secure futures.

When he is not working, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, and their two daughters. He and his family live in Argyle, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and are active in their community.
